Our Story
Several years ago, I made and sold furniture and small products from my home shop. People loved the pieces, but I quickly learned that I simply couldn’t make them fast enough to sell them at a competitive price.
Over time, I heard this same story from other woodworkers. The problem is that by using only traditional woodworking machinery in a small shop, the finished product has to be extremely expensive to justify the time spent. In trying to solve this problem for myself, I found a solution for everyone.
The answer was CNC automation. The CNC process allows you to cut some, or all of the parts needed to create a product from a digital design on a machine, which saves you time! The CNC router can precisely and repeatedly produce the same part over and over again, from many materials like plywood, acrylic, solid wood, aluminum, and more. The result is perfect parts, that you can assemble and finish yourself by hand.
The problem is — not everyone has access to a large, industrial grade CNC router and not every woodworking is interested in learning 3D CAD and CAM software.
That’s why I created WeMakeIt.us. To give every woodworker, product designer and artisan access to world class CNC technology. All guided by friendly, helpful people that get makers – because we are makers.
